The HMD Skyline is two years old this month, so you may be wondering when we should expect to see a successor. Apparently it is still in the works, but if you were hoping for a device with massively upgraded specs, you may be quite disappointed.
According to a usually reliable source of HMD-related information, the Skyline 2 will be available in blue, black, and yellow, with a design that’s very reminiscent of the original.
At the helm will sit the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. The OLED screen will have a 144Hz refresh rate, as well as 2,000-nit peak brightness. The battery will charge at 40W via wire, and the Skyline 2 will continue to have built-in magnets for wireless charging.
On the rear will be a 108MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 50MP ultrawide. On the front there will be a 50MP selfie snapper.
