Superman’s James Gunn Shares BTS Photo Teasing Home Release Special Feature

Superman will be getting a director’s commentary from James Gunn.
Superman is currently playing in United States theaters. Written and directed by Gunn, the DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures flick stars David Corenswet as the titular superhero, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
What did James Gunn say about Superman?
On Threads, Gunn shared a behind-the-scenes photo of himself sitting in a recording booth while looking at a screen that says “picture start.”
“About to record Director’s Commentary for home release,” Gunn said. “What do you want to know?”
There’s been no word as of yet when Superman will be released onto physical media or digital outlets; however, a director’s commentary for the home release is good news for fans as it’ll give them a chance to hear Gunn’s comments and thoughts about making the film, while he could also speak about the DCU’s future and other upcoming projects. Whether or not anyone else is joining Gunn in the director’s commentary is unclear at this time.
The official synopsis for Superman reads, “Superman, DC Studios’ first feature film to hit the big screen, is set to soar into theaters worldwide this summer from Warner Bros. Pictures. In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor, and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.”
