Regal has officially revealed their F1 popcorn bucket, showing off what it looks like ahead of the film’s premiere on June 27, 2025.
How to get the F1 popcorn bucket
The new popcorn bucket leans fully into the Formula One world, and is presented as a racing helmet. The top of the hlmet opens up for popcorn, but the bucket also seems to sport a visor that can open and close. The bucket will be available at Regal theaters, with tickets to the movie also available as of now.
F1 stars Brad Pitt as former Formula One phenom Sonny Hayes, who joins a former teammates team. The movie will also be led by Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce, Kerry Condon as Kate, Tobias Menzies as Banning, Javier Bardem as Ruben, Kim Bodnia as Kaspar, Shea Whigham as Chip, Sarah Niles as Bernadette and more.
F1 is directed by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger. The cast will also be joined by real-life Formula One racers, including producer Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz Jr. and more. Kosinski and Pitt are also producing alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Chad Omen, with Daniel Lupi serving as an executive producer.
“Dubbed ‘the greatest that never was,’ Sonny Hayes was Formula One’s most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he’s a nomadic racer-for-hire when he’s approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes, owner of a struggling Formula One team that is on the verge of collapse,” reads the movie’s official synopsis. “Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to Formula One for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He’ll drive alongside Joshua Pearce, the team’s hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny’s past catches up with him, and he finds that, in Formula One, your teammate is your fiercest competition — and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.”
