Branford man arrested with 9 pounds of marijuana

WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH)– A Branford man was arrested around midnight on Wednesday and approximately nine pounds of marijuana were seized during a traffic stop, according to Watertown police.

Cody Mallard, 31, was arrested following a traffic stop near Sylvan Lake Road and Falls Avenue.

Mallard was charged with operating a drug factory, sale and possession of a controlled substance and violation of a protective order.

Police also seized, scales, packaging materials and $2,136 in cash.

Watertown Police seized nine pounds of marijuana, scales, packaging materials and cash during a traffic stop Wednesday.

Mallard was issued a $30,000 bond and will appear in the Waterbury Superior Court on Wednesday.
