The Undertaker Weighs In on Gunther & Randy Orton’s Segment

The Undertaker recently weighed in on the ongoing rivalry between Gunther and Randy Orton, who are set to face off at WWE Bash in Berlin. After Gunther defeated Damian Priest to win the World Heavyweight title at WWE SummerSlam. Randy Orton interrupted his title celebration following RAW after SummerSlam.

On the August 5th episode of WWE RAW, Orton crashed Gunther’s championship celebration. There, he called out his victory in the King of the Ring finals. Orton then issued a challenge for a title shot, which Gunther accepted. The rivalry quickly turned personal the following week when Gunther taunted Orton’s family.

Gunther is known for his personal attacks on opponents and his sharp-tongued insults. He took things further by making derogatory comments about Orton’s father, Bob Orton Jr., and grandfather, Bob Orton, labeling them as “screw-ups.”

These remarks provoked Orton, who responded by hitting Gunther with an RKO on the spot. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker offered his thoughts on the Gunther-Orton feud. He praised both men for their intense promo battle on the August 12th episode of WWE RAW.

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker recently praised the intense promo segment between Randy Orton and Gunther. Speaking on his “Six Feet Under” podcast, The Deadman acknowledged how Gunther’s remarks challenged Orton, who managed to respond effectively.

He stated, “He’s talked about, like, how good he could have been if he hadn’t have been a flake or that’s my translation. Oh, it was good, man, and Randy, he weathered that storm and had a comeback and then he went into his grandfather. It was a good promo, which is kind of scary to think, like, how many times he [Orton] may have won the championship if he’d had his head on right the whole entire time. But it was a really good, stiff promo.”

Additionally, The Undertaker also commended Gunther and Dominik Mysterio for their impressive heel work. He stated, “Heel or babyfaces these days, it’s a really fine line. That’s why people like Dom, that’s why he’s such an anomaly because he is a 100 percent, across the board heel. Gunther, on the other hand, he’s a tough guy and carries himself in a manner, right, so it’s going to be challenging to keep him a heel.”

Fans have also been praising Gunther’s recent work, whether it’s been against Randy Orton or Damian Priest. As The Ring General prepares for his first title defense at WWE Bash in Berlin, it will be interesting to see how things unfold.
