Reclaim your destiny. Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny returns with HD graphics and improved controls on the original game’s intense swordplay and dramatic revenge story. Play as Jubei Yagyu and make your way through feudal Japan with your allies. This game has additional language support adapted from the original script. You can also get a special outfit for Jubei if you have Onimusha: Warlords on Steam. To switch Jubei’s outfit select Special Features → Jubei’s Outfit and select between Normal and Special from the title-screen menu. This will only alter the appearance. Your status will be the same as the armour you equip in-game.

Still a great game that holds up well even today. I’d say the combat is still better than a lot of modern action games. Can be a bit tanky still and the camera angles will screw you over sometimes but the modernized movements and the quick change of weapons is a great improvement. Only thing I have to criticize because Capcom did it with the first Onimusha remaster as well, can’t have Japanese language with English subtitles. The lip sync job is comically bad and always has been but they didn’t fix it. It is better with Japanese language but unless you know Japanese, you don’t have a way of knowing what they are saying.
