The Mower County Sheriffs Office is investigating an incident in LeRoy Saturday evening that resulted in the arrest of a resident.
According to a release Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a gas station on Main Street in LeRoy at around 5:29 p.m.
Deputies encountered a 50-year-old male resident of LeRoy who had allegedly entered a parked vehicle and assaulted a 72-year-old male driver, who was also from LeRoy. The suspect then reportedly confronted and physically assaulted two store employees, ages 23 and 16, both residents of LeRoy.
The suspect was located nearby and appeared intoxicated and combative. Deputies used a department-issued Taser to safely detain him. He was medically evaluated and transported to the Mower County Jail.
The suspect’s name has not been released and the investigation is ongoing.
