Dorothy “Dolly” Jean Taylor peacefully passed away on August 17, 2025, at the Legacy of Brownsdale at 92 years young.  She was born November 19, 1932, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Robert and Florence Taylor.

Dolly excelled at her career as a mother and homemaker and loved it so much she never retired.  She had a close bond with her special needs son, Linton, who recently passed away in April 2023.  We could not have asked for a better mom.

Dolly lived a very active life and had many hobbies including gardening, sewing, cooking, painting and moving, which she did frequently as she lived in many different locations during her lifetime.

Dolly had a strong faith in Jesus Christ which guided her through her entire life.  She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need or take the time to bring a smile to those around her.  She was a little package that packed a big punch.

Dolly is survived by Michael Brokken (Patti), Bakersfield, CA; Laurie Brett (Dan), Salt Lake City, UT; Lee Hansen (Joni), Austin, MN; Linda Cook (Bruce), Des Moines, IA; Lisa Bononi (Michael), Jackson Hole, WY; Lana Sheffield (Stewart), Plano, TX; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Florence Taylor; brother, Robert Taylor; twin brother, Tom Taylor; ex-husband, Lawrence Hansen; son, Linton Hansen; and grandson, Hunter Bononi.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Brownsdale with the Reverend Ben Simons officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.  Interment will be in Enterprise Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Baptist Church of Brownsdale/ Missions.
