New Fast & Furious Game Announced With Trailer, Release Date Set

The long-running, beloved film franchise from Universal Pictures, Fast & Furious, brings one of its arcade racers to consoles very soon in the form of Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition.
When does Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition release?
Developed by Cradle Games and published by GameMill Entertainment, Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition launches for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 24. Players will be able to play solo or split-screen co-op across several tracks from around the world, including the Swiss Alps and Hong Kong. “Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition delivers high-speed racing and pedal-to-the-metal action straight from the arcade to consoles,” reads the game’s description. “Hit the road in legendary cars including the Dodge Charger, Corvette Z06, Shelby GT500 KR, Ford GT, Bronco DR, Jeep Wrangler and more – plus customize your car with unique color schemes.”
“Race through each of the original arcade game’s tracks solo or in split-screen with a friend and discover destructible environments, branching paths, and sneaky shortcuts that can shake up any race and reward risk-takers,” continues the description. “Take on thrilling challenges with high-stakes objectives like intercepting a missile in the Swiss Alps or grounding a plane in the heart of Hong Kong.”
The Fast & Furious saga began with the 2001 film The Fast and the Furious, starring Vin Diesel (Guardians of the Galaxy, Riddick) and Paul Walker (Into the Blue, Timeline). The franchise would go on to spawn 10 mainline movies, with an 11th on the way in the form of Fast X Part 2. A spinoff called Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (The Smashing Machine, Moana) and Jason Statham (A Working Man, The Beekeeper) premiered in 2019. During FuelFest, Diesel revealed that Fast X Part 2 will make its debut in April 2027.
