Steven Craig “Steve” Feuerhak, 76, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in the loving company of family and friends.
Steve was born on May 8, 1949 in Austin, Minnesota, to Myron and Mildred (Busse) Feuerhak, the little brother of Donna and Allan. He grew up attending Saint Olaf Lutheran Church and was educated in the Austin School District. He enlisted in the Air Force following his high school graduation in 1967 and was a Chinese Language Specialist serving in Okinawa, Japan.
He returned to Austin following his discharge in 1971 and worked for a short time at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary. He began his 39-year career with the Hormel Company in Quality Control and progressed to the IT department from which he retired in 2011.
Steve spent his spare time playing pool, golfing and bowling, and made numerous road trips with friends to enjoy America’s beauty. He travelled often to the Twin Cities to visit friends and attended casinos for the buffet and slot machines where he often happily came out ahead. He was a devoted son who spent frequent quality time with his mother and morning coffee gatherings with his sister.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Mildred Feuerhak, and brother-in-law, Joseph Roche.
Steve is survived by his sister, Donna (Feuerhak) Roche, niece, Susan Roche and nephews, Robert, Kendall, and Daniel Roche; and by his brother, Allan and Merldeen (Miller) Feuerhak, nephew, Michael and niece, Kelly (Johnson) Feuerhak and nephew, Marc and niece, Tina (Wicks) Feuerhak, many great nieces and nephews, and dear friend of 20 years, John Gabarron.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 21st at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with the Reverend Vickie Spyhalski officiating. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning. Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Minnesota with the Austin American Legion Post #91 and Olaf B. Damm Post #1216, V.F.W. in charge of military rites.
