Gov. Lamont to deliver Trinity College's 2025 Commencement address


HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Trinity College announced on Wednesday that Gov. Ned Lamont will deliver the 2025 Commencement address at the college’s 199th commencement in May.

The college announced that Lamont will receive an honorary degree, along with two other recipients, Shabana Basij-Rasikh, co-founder and president of the School of Leadership Afghanistan and Joseph M. Connors, a renowned cancer researcher.

“The governor is a distinguished leader whose exemplary service to the State of Connecticut and support of education has made a difference to many,” said Trinity College President Joanne Berger-Sweeney. “I know his wisdom and words will inspire our graduates and the next generation of leaders.”

Trinity College Class of 2025 Commencement is scheduled for May 18 at 11 a.m.
