East Hartford man arrested after alleged June assault in South Windsor


SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — An East Hartford man was arrested on Tuesday, on two arrest warrants stemming from an alleged assault and attempted attack in June, police said.

Paul Lawrence, 57, was arrested after allegedly grabbing the hair of a female victim and repeatedly hitting her with a closed fist in June. She was injured as a result.

On the same day, Lawrence allegedly attempted to attack an employee at the Exxon Gas Station on John Fitch Boulevard.

He was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

Lawrence turned himself in and was released on a $5,000 bond. He appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Wednesday.
