Bitter cold here and a blizzard warning in Louisiana

You read that headline correctly. Heavy snow and gusty winds are ripping across the Gulf Coast. New Orleans is seeing heavy snow and Lake Charles is under a blizzard warning!! It has been about 16 years since New Orleans saw measurable snowfall. Closer to home, we had snow yesterday, but now we are just dealing with the bitter cold. Expect more clouds today with highs in the teens and wind chills in the single digits. Wind chills will likely drop below zero by tomorrow morning. Wednesday will be another frigid day before temperatures start to rebound for the second half of the week. Please take care of yourselves and your pets! Use those warming centers if you need to!

Tonight: Spotty flurries early, then decreasing clouds. Lows in the single digits, wind chills below zero.
