Samsung’s chipset choice for its upcoming Galaxy S25 family is proving to be a very popular subject in the rumors these days. We’ve recently heard that Exynos 2500 yields are low enough that Samsung would go with all-Snapdragon SoCs for the Galaxy S25 family, but then we’ve also heard that the just-unveiled MediaTek Dimensity 9400 was in the cards too.
Today a new rumor claims that only the Galaxy S25 FE will use the Dimensity chip, although there have been negotiations between Samsung and MediaTek regarding the entire S25 family. And yet, the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are yet again all said to go with the Snapdragon chip, leaving the FE model with presumably the Dimensity 9400, unless Samsung cheaps out and opts for an older and more affordable SoC from the Taiwanese company.

So, if this is true, then the Exynos 2500 might still make an appearance, but in the next Galaxy Z Fold and Flip devices due to launch next summer, as by then Samsung will have hopefully fixed its yield issues.
