A cool start to the week

A mostly dry and mostly cloudy start to the week. Because of the clouds, highs will only be in the upper 60s, near 70° this afternoon. Most of the state will be dry, but I can’t rule out a stray shower or two. More clouds than sun expected again tomorrow and Wednesday. Thursday holds the best chance of seeing some shower action, but then Friday and the weekend look dry again.

We are tracking Potential Tropical Cyclone NINE which is developing in the Caribbean. It will likely strengthen into a tropical storm over the next 24 hours, then eventually into a hurricane by Wednesday. The latest track shows this storm making landfall somewhere along the Big Bend of Florida–between Apalachicola and Clearwater.

This Afternoon: More clouds than sun. Mostly dry other than a stray shower or two. Highs near 70°.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with some breaks in the clouds by morning. Lows in the upper 40s to low 50s.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of a late day spotty shower. Highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Thursday: Cloudy with a few widely scattered showers. Highs in the low 70s.

Saturday: Sun and clouds. Highs in the low to mid 70s.
