MANSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) – A driver suffered serious injuries in a crash in Mansfield on Sunday.
State police say the crash happened on Storrs Road (Route 195) around 6:15 p.m. A driver did not stop at a red light and crashed into another vehicle on Bassetts Bridge Road, according to a state police report.
The driver who was struck was not injured and declined medical attention. Their passenger was also not injured.
According to state police the driver who struck the vehicle was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Sobriety tests were not performed because the driver suffered serious injuries. The driver was transported to the hospital.
