Passing showers today, heavier rain and gusty winds tonight

After waiting for almost a week, the rain associated with Debby has finally made it to the northeast. We will be tracking passing showers through the afternoon. The rain will turn heavy at times tonight and the winds will pick up as well. A WIND ADVISORY will be in effect for the shoreline as gusts could range from 35 to 45 MPH. Unfortunately, we can’t rule out some strong storms they may produce a quick spin up. Keep your phones nearby in case a warning is issued. Some clouds and lingering showers expected early Saturday morning, but overall, we’ll see increasing sun tomorrow with falling humidity.

This Afternoon: Mostly cloudy with passing showers. Bouts of heavier rain expected this evening. Winds picking up. Highs in the low 80s.

Tonight: Rounds of heavy rain. Winds gusting between 35 to 45 MPH. Lows in the 70s.

Saturday: Clouds and lingering showers early. Increasing sunshine and falling humidity. Highs in the mid 80s.

Sunday: Lots of sunshine. Comfortable, highs in the low 80s.

Monday: Scattered clouds with highs in the upper 70s. A passing shower overnight.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the low 80s.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with a chance of an afternoon thundershower. Highs in the low 80s.

Friday: Sun and clouds with a chance of a pop up thundershower. Highs in the low 80s.
