Motorcycle crash significantly injures driver and pedestrian


WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A motorcyclist is fighting for his life, and a pedestrian sustained serious injuries after a collision Saturday night in Waterbury. 

The accident happened in the area of Main and Williams Streets at 9:20 p.m. The 42-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition. Responding officers say there was a passenger on the motorcycle who fled the scene before they arrived.

The pedestrian is a 23-year-old male who was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The crash is being investigated by Waterbury police’s Crash Reconstruction Unit and anyone with information is asked to call 203-346-3975.
