Hartford hospice patient granted final wish to see falcon

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Jerelyn Fields always wanted to learn falconry, but wasn’t able to. However, she was granted the chance to see one of the birds up close on Monday for her final wish.

“[I enjoyed] learning about what kinds of birds have what kinds of skeletons, and knowing what they might eat, so where I might find them, knowing their calls,” she said. “I just love all of that.”

Fields, who is in hospice and has pancreatic cancer, was able to see the bird because of the Twilight Wish Foundation. The national nonprofit works to help seniors by granting final wishes.
